Ex-COAS Bajwa’s remarks on combat preparedness quoted ‘out of context’: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan armed forces are always ready to defend the homeland and are aware of their responsibilities, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday. 

Reacting to the questions being raised on the war operations of Pakistan armed forces, the ISPR said the forces are fully equipped with the latest war weapons which is always on standby.

The ISPR noted that the statement of the former chief of army staff General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa was taken out of context and questions were raised on the armed forces’ combat capabilities.

We assure the masses that Pakistan’s armed forces are always ready for the defense of the homeland and ready to deal with any challenge to ensure the country’s sovereignty.

Earlier it emerged that former COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa reportedly told two senior journalists that the Pakistan Army lacked the ammunition and economic strength.
